Dr. Reed is primarily involved in facilitating experiential learning in the undergraduate nursing program. Additionally, she designed and teaches a pre-nursing elective on cross-cultural communications in health care

RESEARCH

Dr. Reed’s scholarship focuses on developing professional development activities of international nurses in SE Asia and studying health disparities among international students attending US universities.

SERVICE

Dr. Reed has a vision and passion for global nursing education. She was the first nurse to receive a Fulbright Scholar Award to Cambodia in 2013-2014. Additionally, she has received two US Fulbright Specialist Awards to Vietnam (’23) and Thailand (’26). She has sustained the partnerships that she built by returning to SE Asian when possible, using her personal time and resources, to advocate for advancements in global nursing education.
