PFF Holiday Adoption – 2023

Adopt a family for the holidays. You don’t have to work alone. Giving is fun when doing it together. Consider partnering with your department, group of friends, or student organizations.

How do I adopt a family? Sign up for a family through the slots below. We will send you the family wish list.  The wish list is there to give you ideas. We call our families to ask them their needs.

Who will deliver the items? Consider having the gifts are shipped directly to the home of the family through Amazon, Walmart, Target, etc. Please have the items arrive at the home no later than December 15th.

Can the office deliver items will you deliver?  Our office will deliver to a few homes. Please ask to confirm. If the office is dropping off the items, we need them wrapped and labeled no later than December 13th.

Family #5 ADOPTED This family with adult son with disabilities. She has recently had to place him in a group home setting. While he no longer lives with her, this has been a great stress on this family. Available
Family #6 ADOPTED This is a family that consists of and elderly, disabled mom and her young adult daughter. She struggles on a fixed income, most of which goes towards her rent and electric bills. To complicate matters, she has recently had a stroke. Available
Family #7 This family is usually a single woman. Her household has grown as she has been helping an adult child and her children by having them stay with her temporarily. Available
Family #8 PENDING This family has several children of their own and have taken in a relative’s children, as well. Mom has been dealing with some of her own health concerns this year with a couple of hospital stays. Available
Family #9 ADOPTED This family consists of and elderly couple with multiple chronic health conditions who adopted and are raising their granddaughter who is now a teenager. Available

Family #11 ADOPTED This is a multigenerational family. The grandmother helps care for about 4 grandchildren in the home. Available
Family #12 ADOPTED This family consists of a grandmother who raised several of her grandchildren in her home. She adopted one grandson who still stays with her. Available

Family #15 ADOPTED This family is a single, disable dad. He has a son with cerebral palsy who does not always live with him, but he cares for him while the child’s mom goes to work. Available

Family #20 This is a multigenerational family. There is a 19-year-old grandson and a 9-year-old granddaughter in the home. Available
Family #21 ADOPTED Single mom who has been in treatment for cancer with two daughters and adult son in the home. One of her daughters has a chronic health problem, as well. Available
Family #22 Elderly woman who regularly cares for 2 adult disabled relatives, but they do not live with her. She resides in the home that was her mother’s, who she also cared for until her death. She struggles with the upkeep of the home because of fixed income and physical limitations. ADOPTED – Thank you!
