To discuss this issue from both the role of the pharmacist and the physician, the UF chapters of the American Medical Association and the American Pharmacists Association-Academy of Student Pharmacists held a first-of-its kind meeting for students of both disciplines April 18. Perhaps most importantly, it was the first time the two student professional organizations collaborated to create an event for both pharmacy and medical students. About 120 students attended the event. More interprofessional events are planned.
